As the temperature increases towards summer, so your dogs and cats fur will normally get thinner to keep them cooler in the hotter weather, shedding large amounts of fur and hair.
Tip 1 Removing Pet Hair from Upholstery
First remove as much as you can with the vacuum cleaner hose, then put on any pair of RUBBER GLOVES and dip them into cold water to make them wet. Shake off excess and then rub your gloved hand over the sofa – IN 1 DIRECTION ONLY.
This will gather all the pet hair into a small bunch that can be picked off and put in a bin bag. Repeat this action until your sofa and chairs are free of hair. Then refer to Tip 2…
Tip 2 Reducing Pet Hair
Brush them daily, outside in the garden, porch or yard, to remove all the loose hair and prevent it coming off in the house as they brush past the furniture.
Tip 3 Removing Pet Hair from Clothes
Use a lint brush or roller on your clothes. If you do not have one of these, just wrap Sellotape, masking tape or parcel tape around your palm, with the sticky side facing OUT and rub or dab onto the pet hair to remove it.
When the stickiness gets full of hair, wrap a new piece around and carry on.
